This will be your next TV setup… just make the screen a little bigger and add iOS4 as the operating system and you’re all set (a couch and a coffee table would be nice too).

Very excited about this.
Wooo me too!!
Sorry, I don’t get it. Being able to click-hold-drag (to highlight a rectangular area, for example) is a lot easier to do with a mouse than on a trackpad. And if your mouse also includes scroll up/down and page forward/back buttons, don’t you get everything you need?
Apple is using this device to test how it might work as the input device for the forthcoming revamp of Apple TV. If Apple TV moves to iOS as the operating system (most including me think this will happen in the next version), Apple runs into one very large problem… touch. iOS is a touch interface and that works fine when you’re holding your iPhone or iPad. But when you’re sitting 8 or more feet away from your TV, touch won’t work. The magic trackpad is the answer as it will allow people to sit on their couch and use a touch based interface.

Cool design
Flipboard is a “social magazine” that feeds off of your facebook, and twitter, consistently updating content with what your peers like and link to. If you’re not too much into social networking or have really lame friends, no worries, the app also let’s you pick from Flipboard’s own selection of deemed important resources.
This is sick!
There’s so much interesting stuff in the world, and I have to sit there with textbooks?
